From July 20 to 26, 2025, Skopje will become the epicenter of youth sports in Europe as it hosts the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) – the largest sporting event for young athletes on the continent. This prestigious festival will bring together over 2,500 talented athletes from 48 European countries who will compete in 15 sports disciplines, showcasing their dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
Sports That Inspire and Unite
The EYOF Skopje 2025 program includes 15 sports disciplines that will take place in state-of-the-art sports arenas in the capital city, as well as in Kumanovo and Osijek, Croatia. Athletics, swimming, judo, cycling, and gymnastics are just some of the sports in which young Olympic hopefuls will compete, proudly representing their national colors.
Team sports such as basketball, volleyball, handball, and 3×3 basketball will be given special emphasis, as they not only test physical endurance but also highlight the importance of teamwork and collaboration. Other sports included in the festival’s rich program are badminton, canoe slalom, archery, taekwondo, and table tennis – all providing young athletes from across Europe the chance to demonstrate their skills and competitive spirit.
Arenas Witnessing the Rise of New Sports Heroes
Throughout the festival, Skopje will host the majority of competitions, while Kumanovo will welcome cyclists and basketball players. A unique sporting atmosphere will be further enhanced by rhythmic gymnastics events taking place in Osijek, creating a true Olympic vibe across multiple locations.
Sport venues such as the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center, Jane Sandanski Arena and the athletics stadium will witness new records, emotional victories, and unforgettable moments that will inspire future generations of athletes. The athletics stadium, serving as the main venue for track and field events, will host a variety of disciplines including running, jumping, and throwing competitions.
