European Youth Olympic Festival
The European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) is the leading multisport event for the European youth (athletes between 14 to 18 years old) from the 48 member countries of the Association of European Olympic Committees.
It is the largest sporting event organized for the youth with 33 years of history. The Youth Olympic Festival was first launched in Brussels in 1991 as a summer sporting competition.
EYOF Skopje 2025 will host around 4 000 participants from 48 European nations, also there will be over 800 volunteers from all over Europe. The festival will feature 15 sports disciplines.
Skopje, North Macedonia, will host the Summer European Youth Olympic Festival, which will take place from 20th to 26th July 2025. This wonderful event will be held predominantly in Skopje, the main host city, with some disciplines being organized in the neighboring city of Kumanovo.
North Macedonia officially received the host status for 2025 during the 50th General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees.
Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, is a combination of tradition and modernity. The city known as “The city of International Solidarity” dating back to the great earthquake of 1963, is now ready to welcome the European community and light the flame of Olympism during the European Youth Olympic Festival.
